Little Lions is where children start to really engage with the process of learning jiu jitsu. They are old enough to follow instruction, retain what they are taught, and begin to feel genuine progress.
Classes at this stage introduce basic techniques, movement patterns, and partner work. Your child will learn to work with others, respect boundaries, and start to understand what it means to set a goal and work toward it.
This is also where we introduce the CODE principles more deliberately. Confidence is your child choosing to try a technique they are not good at yet. Objectives give them something specific to aim for. Discipline is turning up week after week. Excellence is refusing to stop when something feels hard.
At 4 to 6, children are building the foundation for everything that comes next. The habits formed here carry through every stage of the programme and, honestly, well beyond it.
More focus, more resilience when things do not go their way, and a child who is starting to take pride in what they can do.
