What Does The C.O.D.E Stand For?

The C.O.D.E of Conduct is a unique character development and life skills programme developed at Antara Jiu Jitsu Academy. Created by UAE Jiu Jitsu pioneer Amin Touati and child development expert Halima Barr, the programme supports young students on their martial arts journey while nurturing critical life values that go far beyond the mat.

C.O.D.E stands for:

Confidence

Objectives

Discipline

Excellence

CODE of conduct book

Through a combination of Jiu Jitsu training, reflective discussions, role play, and goal setting, children develop a deeper understanding of themselves and how to engage with the world around them. The programme encourages:

  • Speaking with confidence

  • Setting personal and technical goals

  • Practicing emotional control

  • Building healthy boundaries

  • Supporting peers and receiving feedback

What Makes It Different?

  • Parent Collaboration: Parents are actively involved in the process, offering feedback and reviewing progress reports.

  • Scientific Pedagogy: Grounded in Montessori principles and child development theory.

  • Structured Reflection: Children complete exercises, self-assessments, and goal tracking to foster awareness and growth.

  • Progress Reports: Students are evaluated quarterly on areas such as discipline, focus, sparring performance, technical understanding, and supportiveness.

This holistic, values-based system helps children build strong foundations in both martial arts and life, cultivating future leaders on and off the mat.
