Junior 2

Ages 10 to 14

This is where character gets built.

By the time a student reaches Junior 2, they have a foundation. Now we build on it. The techniques are more advanced, the physical demands are higher, and the expectations are greater.

But the most important development at this stage is not physical. It is internal.

Students at 10 to 14 are figuring out who they are. They face social pressure, self-doubt, and the temptation to quit when things get difficult. Junior 2 is designed to meet all of that directly.

We challenge them. We put them in situations where they do not know the answer. Where the technique does not work the first time, or the fifth time. And we teach them to stay in it anyway. That is what Excellence means at this level. Not winning. Not being the best. Refusing to quit.

Objectives at this stage are set by the student as much as by the coach. We want them to own their progress. Discipline means they show up even when they would rather not. Confidence means they are willing to be seen struggling, and keep going anyway.

What you will notice at home

A young person who handles pressure better, who does not fold when things get hard, and who is starting to understand what they are capable of.
